North Gwinnett came in 4th overall in total points earned and 5th in points earned per capita! That top five performance is the result of our kids earning 70 individual and team awards!
North Gwinnett had two students place in the top 20 for individual results for the entire convention: Connor O. placed 17th overall and Jeremy C. place 19th!
In the Academic Decathlon (think of the hardest test you've ever taken), North Gwinnett had four top 10 places:Connor O. (10th), Joseph K. and Elton L. (tied for 9th), and Jeremy C. (5th place). Jeremy is the first NGHS student ever to place in the top five in this contest!
Our Intermediate (i.e., Latin II) and Advanced (i.e., Latin III+) certamen teams each placed 3rd in the state tournament. Congratulations to Maggie L., Patrick S., Lauren J., and Jonny P. (the Intermediate team), and Connor O., Joseph K., Jeremy C., and Brendon R. (the Upper team)!
Our North Gwinnett chariot racing team (yes, you read that correctly) came in 4th place: Patrick G., Patrick S., Jonny P., Elton L., and Shruthi S. More importantly, no one got run over (well, none of our kids anyway).
Yeshy M. was appointed the 2014-2015 GJCL Webmaster (he'll be in charge of editing and updating the GJCL web page next year).
Our North Gwinnett Middle School students also won Best Middle School T-Shirt and came in 2nd place for best Group Costume (Shruthi S., Kaitlyn N., Savannah H., and Samantha K.)!
