APLAT - Week 1 < Week 2 > Week 3

Monday
SALVETE!  Today's class will be SYNCHRONOUS.
We will start class by translating lines 24-33 of Aeneid 1.
In class, you need to:
(1) have your Aeneid I lines printed out so you can write on them
(2) have your Aeneid I commentary text scan open (either on computer or printed out) to reference
(3) be ready at any moment to be called on and translate to the best of your ability. As we have always done (and as is outlined in your syllabus), I will assess your translation on a scale of 1-5. Remember that you can always review your translation via my YouTube channel.
On Friday, you will have an open-note quiz over Anthony Everitt's Augustus Ch. 9. (see attached MP3 file and text scan)
DUE TUESDAY at 6am
Complete this Gimkit assignment over the vocabulary of Aeneid 1.34-45.


Tuesday

(1) Complete this Gimkit assignment over the vocabulary of Aeneid 1.46-54.

Wednesday
SALVETE!  Today's class will be ASYNCHRONOUS.
You still need to check in on SPORK.  I (<-- Mr. Yaggy) will be present during class time to answer questions or address comments/concerns.
You will use class time (10:30-11:20am) to read and/or listen to Chapter 9 of Anthony Everitt's Augustus and take notes for our open-note quiz on Friday)

Thursday
SALVETE!  Today's class will be SYNCHRONOUS.
We will start class by translating lines 46-57 of Aeneid 1.
In class, you need to:
(1) have your Aeneid I lines printed out so you can write on them
(2) have your Aeneid I commentary text scan open (either on computer or printed out) to reference

DUE FRIDAY at 6am

Friday
SALVETE!  Today's class will be SYNCHRONOUS.
Reading Quiz: Augustus Ch. 9
After the quiz, you will translate lines 58-66 on your own.
We will go over your translation of those lines during the last 10 minutes of class.
