Monday
SALVETE! Welcome to NLE Week! We will prepare today through Thursday and take the Intermediate Reading Comprehension Exam on Friday.
(1) The first thing we're going to do is play a new game practicing some tough vocabulary that may feature on your NLE.
(2) Next, we will take a practice exam. The NLE made a bunch of changes to their exams, and this one is new (replacing the old "Latin III Exam"), and the big difference is this is all reading comprehension (no random culture/history/myth questions). I chose this one because you all can read the heck out of some Latin! We will access the practice exam through Classkick.
(3) After we finish taking the exam, we will discuss what we need to review the rest of the week to ace this NLE.
Extra Resources:
(1) Use the very helpful NLE Practice App: https://quiz.nle.org/ - be sure to select "Intermediate Latin" and I would focus only on the "Language" and "Latin in use" skills (and don't mix them together with the "Default Mix"). You can also pick the number of questions, and I suggest choosing 20 (the max).
(2) On Buzz, you will find an "NLE Review" folder. Inside are the 1999-2011 NLEs as well as a few other quizzes targeting some traditionally difficult concepts. Take any and all of them, BUT I would only complete the reading comprehension parts (the last 10-ish questions). They are all optional. I have put due dates on them only so that they are easier to find.
Tuesday

(1) Y'all liked "Gold Quest"... let's try "Cafe" today - still practicing some tough vocabulary that may feature on your NLE.
(2) Next, we will finish taking the practice exam (#21-40). Remember that your exam is all reading comprehension (no random culture/history/myth questions). We will again access the practice exam through Classkick.
(3) With time left, we will look at the reading comp passages on the 2015 and 2016 NLEs.
