8th Grade Latin II - Week 26 < Week 27 > Week 28

Monday
SALVETE! Happy NLE Week!  We are taking the Intermediate Latin Exam on Friday!  It will be online, and I will provide your usernames and passwords through private chat messages on Friday morning.
Bottom line: this is a great break from the norm and great review!  If you want to win an award, do what I tell you to do in class - that's it!  If you want to ensure you earn a gold medal, and you want a Perfect Paper, then I've got a TON of extra resources (see below!).
Here we go!
(1) To get familiar with the types of myth/culture/history questions you'll see on the NLE, we are going to play a new game.  Every question you'll have in the game appeared on an NLE at some point between 2011-2020.
(2) We will take the full 2013 NLE on Classkick.
(3) Next, we will look at the first 30 questions (everything but the reading comprehension) of the 2014 NLE.
(4) Last, We will take the full 2015 NLE and see if we can earn a gold medal:
Award Distribution: GOLD = 37-40, SILVER = 33-36, Magna cum laude = 31-32, cum laude = 29-30
Extra Resources:
(1) Use the very helpful NLE Practice Apphttps://quiz.nle.org/ - be sure to select "Intermediate Latin" and I would focus on a particular skill ("Language" or "Latin in use" or "Culture and Civilization") instead of the "Default Mix." You can also pick the number of questions, and I suggest choosing 20 (the max).
(2) On Buzz, you will find an "NLE Review" folder. Inside are the 1999-2011 NLEs as well as a few other quizzes targeting some traditionally difficult concepts. Take any and all of them. They are all optional. I have put due dates on them only so that they are easier to find.
